Foxes room is designed for 18months to 36months, and is free-flow play inside and outside to promote independence and choice, We provide resources and play opportunities that are age and stage for each individual child’s, interests and needs, to support their learning and development. We ensure that the resources are safe and used safely with appropriate levels of supervision or support. The many toys we have include construction, small world, musical, puzzles, treasure baskets, sensory, books, role play resources to encourage imaginative play, craft and messy play, Our outside area mirrors our indoor area, and there are also opportunities for sand and water play, bikes, buggies, balls, to encourage physical development.
A quiet area is provided with camp beds for the children to have a rest after dinner.
Foxes team is made up of a room Manager who oversees the whole room, A Senior nursery nurse and Nursery nurses, the required ratio of staff to children of this age is 1:3 and 1:4 with a maximum of 16 children at any time, in here staff are busy encouraging new skills and language.
Following the Early Years Foundation Stage guidance, we encourage children’s development and learning, through play and through sharing in our community life and routines, we ensure all our equipment is age and stage appropriate.
